Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe that faith is at the core of our relationship with God. Without faith, we cannot please God or fully experience His love and grace in our lives. Faith is not just an intellectual assent to certain beliefs, but it is a deep trust in God's character and His promises.

This passage challenges us to believe that God exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. It calls us to live our lives with a sense of purpose and intentionality, seeking after God with all our hearts, minds, and souls. It reminds us that our faith in God is not in vain, but that He will reward us when we earnestly seek Him.

In our world today, it can be easy to become discouraged or disillusioned with our faith. We may face difficult circumstances or challenges that test our trust in God. However, the example of the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 reminds us that faith is not just a feeling or an emotion, but it is an active trust in God's promises and His power to work in our lives.

As we seek to live lives of faith, may we remember the words of Hebrews 11:6. May we believe that God exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. And may we live our lives with a deep trust in His character and His promises, knowing that our faith in Him will never be in vain.
